Ilia Limitless Lash is my holy grail mascara from now until the end of time. I’m not sure how ILIA has managed to make the best mascara I’ve ever tried in a natural form, but they have done it. I’ve tried so many natural mascaras that simply fade away as the day goes on and smudge your under eyes, but Ilia PERFORMS with its combination of organic bee and carnauba waxes, shea butter, and keratin. And did I mention the curl? This formula CURLS your lashes and keeps ’em that way all day long.
I’m used to having wimpy lashes. Mine are short to begin with and I’ve envied every long-lashed man and woman I’ve ever seen. I’ve tried natural and not so natural lash lengthening serums. I’ve even done a lash lift perm, which made my tiny lashes curl TOO far back and look even shorter. My suitor at the time said “Why are your lashes so short?” Oooof. The opposite effect had been achieved. But I’m happy to say I done with all that madness, because this mascara makes my lashes look LONG and keeps them that way all day. And curl? YES! Even without the torture chamber eye lash curler. (Bonus curls if you do decide to engage in torture device.) How is such witchcraft possible? The wand has two different configurations. Use the shorter side to create curl and volume and the longer side to lift, lengthen, and separate.
While it’s not waterproof, I do find it to be fairly smudge resistant and can stand up to a light mist of tears (but not an ugly cry, let’s be honest). It comes off easily with soap and water. It’s quite truly the best natural mascara I’ve tried yet and it surely beats out all of the mainstream chemical-laden mascaras I’ve used throughout the years, as well.
